to pull off the 3 inch ss hood you have to have a bigger spoiler i think not wings west bigger but or shoping cart handle but that version of the rally sport spoiler that is a litttle taller either will fit with your paint job even though the ss might conform more to the lines of the striping

I'd say Sunoco but I would have the bumper re-painted, leave the deck lid and put the side-stripes on the Sunoco...

the only spoiler that i like is the SS, and i belive theres an SS spoiler 1" bigger, maybe that one looks more even with the hood!

ths!

the thing is that it'll look weird the stripe on the back and nothing on the front, dont your think??

the holes are fillled, look at the first pic, thats my car, and i need a stripe coz i dont want to re paint the back of the car...

i agree no stripes for the SS 3" hood, and just the sides of the sunoco, thats the best way to go, but in my case, i need to choose a hood that i can paint to match my custom paint job!!

ths for all the comments!

I don't know, I think you could pull off the side stripes on the Sunoco hood and leaved the back painted... Not sure though, something I've contemplated myself.

Regardless, even if you put the stripe back on the Sunoco hood looks WAY better with the style stripe you have now...

HOWEVER... If you decide to paint the bumper (to get rid of the stripe) the 3" SS hood would look KILLER with just the Manta in gloss black and it would match the back, like this:

I voted for the 3" SS hood even though I own the Sunoco. Don't get me wrong, I love my hood but unfortunitly so does everyone else so it won't be long before it's common.

And yes it's fine to have the hood just for looks. Some people will say no but they are the same people that think any Camaro that doesn't have the stock SS hood and spoiler is rice.

People used to call Cowl hoods (especially on 5.0 Mustangs) "HERO" hoods implying the car must be REALLY fast or the owner THINKS it's really fast... There became a stigma as to whether or not the hood was justified...

The 3" SS hood is quite a beast... And being that the most popular car (that I know of at least) wearing one is Totso's (or is it Tosto?) SOM car that runs 9's... I'd have to say yes, you probably wouldn't throw that hood on a stock car... Sorry, but the hood makes a statement.

No reason you can't get the hood now and do mods later though...

yeah well i want something unique or more exclussive, and thats why i choose these hoods, but then i start thinking about the fast the car should be to have that hood..

my project is to have 400rwhp and then look for some power adder, maybe NOS...

but i want to finish the exterior before i start with the engine...

Btw is Tosto, and yes i just have seen 4, the one on VFN site, Tosto´s, and 2 in cardomain..

so i guess it a good thing, not many people have it!!

I voted for the 3in SS hood. I am going to be putting that on my Sebring silver Z28. However, I'm going to have CF molded over the scoop and paint over it leaving a CF Manta. Sunoco is nice, but like Project Camaro said, it's being done quite often.

Side note, ProjectCamaro, your car is one of the best looking cars. Ever.
