help, fuel system high HP?
I'm building a 383stroker @9.5-1 com. and going to throw 14psi at it from a D1SC procharger! This setup should make around 725-765rwhp. I'm told that the (returnless) fuel system on the 99 corvette will not handle any more than 730rwhp even with 60inj,KB boosta pump, and a 255 intank fuel pump!
1. is this true?
2. what can I do?
3. can you fix this with bigger fuel rails and an inline pump!
4. can I go to a 97-98 sfeul setup and would this help!
5. can I add a return line?
thanks for the input!

2. what can I do? ECS makes a fuel system that works, but the pump needs to be moved into the wheelwell, as low as it can go. Adding the '97-'98 return lines would also work.
3. can you fix this with bigger fuel rails and an inline pump! Yes, that is part of the ECS kit, along with setting it up as a return system.
4. can I go to a 97-98 fuel setup and would this help! Yes it would, we went with just this assembly on a twin turbo '02 Z06, using the Lingenfelter fuel pump assewmbly.
5. can I add a return line? Yes you can. The cheapest way to do it is to go with the '97-'98 return style fuel system, and add the Lingenfelter in tank pump assembly.
Here is the '02 Z06 we used the '97-'98 return style on.

Here is an '04 C5 we used the ECS system on. I have to still add more pic's of where we finally located the fuel pump. We moved the pump three times, twice by their pic's, the last on our own, to get the pump to operate quietly.

Heres one of our latest Corvettes. Bob

There is one more option that works great with high HP street cars. It was developed on a 02' Z06 with a F1A procharger making over 800rwhp. Your factory fuel pump remains in the tank and you drive on that when you are not in boost. A secondary fuel pump (Aeromotive part # 11104) is on a hob switch and comes on at a selected boost level. This way you can drive around and not have all the noise of a race pump but have all the fuel you need on demand. The Factory lines are used at the tank and are converted to AN lines using the quick disconnects to AN. You factory fuel filter is replaced with a high flow unit. Since your regulator is in your factory GM fuel filter you have to use a stand alone regulator under the hood. I have a complete drawing of it and the part # to complete it if you are interested.
