Default T-top rule?

Hey guys whats the rules regarding t-tops at the track? I was wondering if there's any speed limitations or anything special that needs to be done. Is there anything in any of the books about it?

T-Tops are considered a hardtop, so all the hard top rules apply.

To add to Brian's comment ... Unless the T-Tops are removed from the car, then convertible rules apply. So keep the T-Tops on.

They usually make any t-top car driver wear a helmet regardless of time. I know my buddy has to wear one in his 15 second thurd gen, and myself as well, running high 13's...

That is your local track's requirement, but not an NHRA rule. Cars running 14 seconds or slower do not need a helmet.

As long as you are on a DOT (this includes ET streets, or drag radials) tire and have a helmet a t-top car is legal up to 11.50 for NHRA.

If you are on a non DOT race slick like a ET Drag you need a driveshaft loop.
