Default lt1 firebird guys

I tried the search button but i couldn't find anything ...I was wondering if is possible to make our "vents" in the front of our hoods functional. If anyone has done this or has any info could you post how you went about doing this? thanks in advance guys.

Anything possible with a cutting wheel and a dremel, dont know what they could actually function as except maybe heat extractors.

I wouldn't waste the time or money on doing it since the vents are right above the opti. Think about it...when you wash your car where does all the water run down to and puddle? I wouldn't want that running on my opti!!!

Waste of time.

If you want to make your engine run cooler, buy an aftermarket aluminum radiator, 160* Thermostat and nice cold air intake, with new fluids.

There's lots of ways to cool the engine down, but cutting those vents isn't going to help at all.
