93 z28 vs s14 240sx w/sr20det.upgraded turbo
I posted a what would happen, between us. At the time he was running shitty, 265 at the wheels, and takes forever to spool. He needed new injectors badly. Well he got em, and he aint slow. I raced him from a dead stop and left him off the line. I pulled about 5 lengths, then outta nowhere here he comes, like a bat outta hell catching up i got up to about 90 with him about 2/12 carlengths back and gaining. So we went from a 30 roll (which sucks for my car anyway) he pulled me by about 5 lengths when i was at about 100. We raced again, same results. I looked under my hood afterwards and noticed the sensor (dont know what sensor) that goes in my intake elbow was out, and my intake coming off my airfilter was disconnected. Dont know if that really costed me anything, or not but those were my first 2 losses. My current mods are flowmaster muffler, hiflo cat, airhog airfilter, all royal purple fluids(nothing really). On a high note i did beat a modified 5.0, and a 4.6 thunderbird (guy said it was really fast) But damn i got raped on the interstate by the 240sx.

those cars are NOT slow. my friend has an S15 240 (a little heavier) with an sr20det swap, gt2871rs turbo, jim wolf tune, and some other supporting mods I cannot recall off hand. he is dead even with my other friend's 420 rwhp WS6 trans am until they shut off at 130 mph.
he took his 240 to the drags and ran a 13.1 @ 115 (in his defense, the car is a road course car, not a drag car lol)
it has the mph to run high 11s/low 12s.
what turbo does he have in his 240?

My buddy has a 96 240 with the sr20det swap too, and he's at 430rwhp because his injectors are maxed out. Once he gets new injectors and his engine management he'll be easily over 550rwhp. And the car weighs all of 2600lbs. It's gonna be a fast lil car, and will definitely catch some people off guard.

i think the s-13's are 1989-94 s-14's are 95-96 and s-15's are 97+ and no they didnt give us the turbo sr-20det, we got the shitty ka-24de. its the same motor they put in the nissan frontier(thats right, a truck motor). swaps are easy and the right bolt ons and turbo upgrades can get you 500rwhp. ive seen stroker kits and custom builts make 700hp+. they are nice, i have a 96 240sx se, but id rather have a v8. i dont like the sound of the 4-bangers. plus there are too many "ricers" as you would call it in my town and maybe 4 v8 f-bodys. i keep mine for a DD. maybe a v-8 swap sum day. either way, nice death and kill. call it a tie and get some more mods.
