high stall converter grinding on lockup? Transgo has your fix.. Well, if you're reading this, i'm sure you know the noise I'm talking about, grinding on tcc lockup, due to different materials used in tcc clutch construction. Bad for it or not, I finally eliminated it, thanks JimmyBlue!
Transgo makes a shift kit that includes a new tcc apply valve, that eliminates
pulse width modulated tcc apply! SWEET!! I installed the kit last week, and it's gone! as an added bonus, it shifts real nice too. Your results may vary, but it's worth a shot, it worked for me!! Transgo part# TRG-4l60e It's about 130 bucks or so.
