T-Rex Guys...
You guys drive it on the street? How do you like it? 6 Speed or Auto? Mods?
I have a pretty high tolerance for aggressive driving... and I read some nasty Numbers using the T-Rex. Just wondering how crazy it is on the street.

The numbers you read were probably from Thunder themselves. Most people are unable to duplicate those numbers. You can get good times out of it, but expect to have the proper tranny w/big *** stall, rearend w/ 4.10s (4.56 is 6-speed), built valvetrain, full bolt ons, weight reduction, and a high tolerance for unstreetability.
The MS3 has made consistently CLOSE numbers, and for the street, I think that would be a better choice. If going to a track only, the TRex would win. But on the street, there isn't much difference in 10.8 and 10.9.

I've had the TRex in both the an M6 and stalled A4 (now A3) and it was tuned to run just fine on the street, but you will need a high tollerance to drive it day in and day out IMO. I see alot of posts like this one and if your a track car, fine, go with a TRex, a full weight street car, other cams may be a better option..

Number 1 on the cam only list: Smokin01ta ---- 10.219@132.29 (1.38), 01 TA, M6, Spec4, 4.56, TRex, -1100, 3010, 3/06
Number 6 on the cam only list: Trevor @ TSP ---10.510@125.80 (1.43), 98 Z, 4l60e, 4500, 4.56, MS3, -1000, 3175, 2/05
Number 8 and 9 respectively: Jason99ta------ 10.783@128.27 (1.56), 99 TA, M6, RAM, 4.56, TRex, +1300, 3253, 06/04
and
Coach02A3Z/28-10.917@122.97 (1.47), 02 Z, TH350, TK, 5.13, TRex, +2751, 3200, 06/04
As you can see, the list goes TRex, MS3, TRex. You cannot just say one cam is xx faster than this cam. It is all in the setup, car, driver, conditions, tune, etc. The TRex is larger with more peak power. The MS3 is smaller, though not by much. It is going to be an extremely, extremely close race though if both cars are evenly setup. Look up TRex on th search feature, sooooo much information out there.

i drive mine on the street except it's not a daily driver...imo it would be too much. 4.10s weren't nearly enough for this cam so i bumped to 4.30s which may not have been a big enough jump...4.56s might have been better. the power that i gained from that cam and the heads is in my sig. this was put down on a mustang dyno.

I love my T rex but you must get it tuned in well to enjoy it as well as rev it to 7k to see the power. Mine only made 410rwhp but thats through the stock dual/dual catback and a 12 bolt. I only drive my car twice a week so its fun as hell but if it were a daily driver I wouldn't appreciate it as much although a good tune makes it plenty streetable if you have to. All the power doesn't come in down low as stated but if your running from a roll the rpms don't ever drop below the power band anyways. Plus if I do race starting at less that 5,000 rpms, my 150 wet comes in to get it through the mid rpms quickly. Also, the cam sounds like a monster and everyone comments on the idle.

Its not bad, mine isn't really tuned that great but ill be swapping an F14 in, Streetable isnt all that horrible, but the car wont be a fun to drive on the street since the powerband i pretty high up their. Like the posts above said its probably best for the track but I guess thats your choice.
-And with mods listed on TR's dyno sheet for the T-rex you definatly will NOT make 451HP-
