Default Tire fitment

Would the hoosier P255/50R16 DR fit my stock z28 rims or could a 275 fit on them, I want the biggest fattest tire back there on stock rim.

Stock Z wheels are 8" wide. A 255/50ZR16 is an acceptable upsize for the Z. Stock I beleive was 245/50ZR16.

Even if someone made a 275/??-16 tire, I would NOT even try to put it on an 8" wide wheel.

I would contact them about that. Sometimes, too narrow a wheel will pull in the sidewalls so much that you lose contact patch, even on a soft sidewalled DR/slick at low pressure.
