Educated opinions please
I am looking for a set of drag radials, and it seems like theres a lot of people that are happy with the M/T e.t streets. Right now I am running 18" tires in the rear and will be getting either a pair of 16" or a pair of 17" wheels to mount the drag radials on.
The only 16" size I am finding is 255/50/16 in the M/T/ et streets. From your experience will that be enough tire to launch a 3500 stalled, cammed, 400rwhp 02 camaro or do I need to find something wider? I am trying to stay within a budget since this will be a second, race only set of tires and wheels. I am open to other suggestions too. I appreciate any advice, thanks in advance. Ron

If you can I'd opt for a 15" rim. I know centerline makes the convo pro that you can get a 15x8.5 w/ 5" BS and it will fit with no grinding. Then you can get a 26x10x15 ET street. Or you may want to try a MT DR (275/50/15) which is a 26" tall tire. In my opinion I like the ET streets over the MT DR's. -Mark

15s arent out of the question, I'll have to price them out and see what the cost would be. I want to stay under 500$ if possible for wheels and tires. Thanks, Ron
