Default Spec 3+ due to be installed, do I really need a new Master Cyl?
I have a 99 Y-body and plan on at least adding an 02+ Slave, but is the addition of a McLeod or equal needed?

No, stocker should work fine. Even if you have a problem with it, you can always change it later without having to pull the trans.
