stright cut gears?

Default stright cut gears?

has anyone switched out the gears inside their tranny to stright cut gears? like the ones for clutchless shifting?

it could be done. a t5 with straight cut gearset would run you about $2600 plus installation....and rebuilds down the road. If you are adventerous you could get just the gearset and install it yourself...in theory.

There is a T56 gearset that is nearly straight cut from the Viper racing days. It only comes in one ratio set ( 2.29 first) . It is considerably stronger( I assume that strength was your motive). There are no factory gears for clutchless shifting( dog clutch teeth). The ones in the market today are aftermarket and they are reworked( cut/ weld) parts. Welding on heat-treated gears is not a good idea if strength is your desire. If you could make a straight cut dog clutch gear set this would be best suited for track only ( not a street driver)
