I have a 97 vette and i just bought a used headlight motor for the pass. side due to my other one running when lights went down...i installed today and after i did i had buzzing noises coming from fuse box and more importantly when i turned on the lights the driver side would go up and the pass. side would go down, when i turned the lights off the pass side would go up and the driver side would go down??? any help would be appreciated.

how would i do that? all the wires go into a connector that has i think about 4-5 wires and it just plugs in??? sorry im not really experienced in electrical aspects.

If it was running when the lights went down it is the plastic gear inside the headlight motor. I purchased the metal replacement gear and now mine works fine.

As far as your possessed headlight...........WOW. I know everything is wired into a harness. Perhaps the arms that lift and close the headlights are on backwards??? That is just taking a stab in the dark but may be worth taking a look at.

Turn your lights on, then manually open the light that's closed. That should synch them back up.

Thanks 1stz06 thats what i was thinking but here in chicago the weather has been horrible so i havent had time to go look at it, muncie21 i will try that also, i think i actually did try that but i dont remember, thanks guys for your help, Dave
