Default Is Cricket cell phone service good?

I'm thinking about trying them. $45 for unlimited access is pretty good. Good/bad idea? Thanks.

Not sure, friend of mine had it, lived in LaPorte, ditched it after a couple months due to poor service area.

They get you on the roaming, if you leave the Houston area and use it be prepared to fork over the dough.

I have no idea, but this girl at work is always getting 200-700$ phone bills then switching companies. Usually it is from texting and going over minutes. So she saw the 45$ unlimited thing and jumped on. After a 4 day weekend in Louisiana, she had 250$ phone bill again. It is probably .69 cents a minute just like when you go over your minutes or roam with anyone else.

I heard that they use the other cell carriers' networks, so if its a real busy area you might not get a line even if you have a signal.

granted, this was a sales rep from Sprint so take it with a grain of salt.

Im just guessing....but if you couldnt get a line with cricket....you probly wouldnt get a line with the tower owner either...as long as the tower lets you "login" I would THINK that you have just as good a shot as anyone else.

The only person that I know has it is a friend in Ohio...she stays in her service area, and she seems to do ok with it.....recieving pic texts on her phone sometimes takes a couple of days...other times it's almost instant. How much of that is her phone/her not power cycling it...and how much of it is the network ???? I have no idea.

Hope that helps

I have bad credit. Could I still get another plan with, say, Cingular?
