Default Help please - Pinned crank/UD pulley question

Okay, so I'm working on a cam/springs/UD pulley install this weekend. Picked up a used ASP underdrive pulley from a Corvette Forum member, and just discovered he'd had it on a car with a pinned crank. Can I use this on my car without pinning the crank? Can this be re-used somehow if I pin my crank in the process? Any info would be great; really don't want to put this on the car and have it come loose down the road.

Thanks in advance, folks...

I'd say pin it - its a win/win situation that way, it'll never slip!

Well we will if we have time to get a tool. I'm just curious if it will be ok without the pin?
