Default short stick vs. shifter assembly

Just have a question that I would like to get cleared up.

I know I can get Lou's Short Stick, but would it also be benificial to get a (for example) B&M Ripper Shifter, or just one of the two?

On another note, what would be the difference between just the stick, vs the whole shifter assembly.

I hope this makes sense

The LSS will shorten your shifter throw and if that is all you are after then it will work for you.

The factory shifter has a stamped mounting bracket versus aftermarket which are usually a billet piece. So the aftermarket shifter would be a more robust piece. And some have better alignment for the 2-3 shift so you don't miss 3rd. Also many aftermarket shifters are already a shorter throw than the factory piece.

I plan to get a Pro 5.0 and LSS hopefully next year for my car. That should be a better shifter and have shorter throws.

I have the factory Hurst short throw and the lous short stick and i love it. the hurst with the factory lever felt spongey and sloppy, the lous stick gives a much better feel and makes for an even shorter throw then before.
