I found a good deal on a built 12 bolt. According to my mechanic it has the ABS single plug hookup on the pumpkin. I can't get underneath my car to see, but I he says there are 2 different ABS systems with different hookups? Is there anyway to tell based on the year? My car is a 95 Z28. The rear was in a 94 Z28.

Very simple if you have traction control you need the 4 channel with speed sensors at the axles. No traction control its 3 channel with the sensor on the diff.

I have traction control, so I don't think this rear end will work with the ABS on my car. Is it possible to eliminate the traction control without losing ABS if I swapped this rear in? The axle is a Moser 12 bolt with 4.10s, new eaton posi, and 31 spline axles for $1600. So if there is anyway to make it work, I think it will be worth it.

IF the one you are getting one that is for three chanel you are set because it will go in either. Now if it does NOT have the hole you are only going to be able to use it in a TCS car

Forgive me, I just want to make sure I understand you TwoFast4Lv. You are saying the 3 channel 12 bolt should work in my car which has traction control (4 channel?) and still retain ABS. Thanx, Joe.

I think you'd have to get the reluctor wheels put on the axles and put the sensors on to make it work.

In a '95 it should be like my '96 and have the magnet sensors mounted to the caliper brackets on the ends of the axles. The only problem i had was needing to mill down the caliper brackets so a wrench would fit in to tighten the bolts to mount the caliper plates, but its been 2 years since i put my moser 12 bolt in so they might have changed the design. Just pull one of your back wheels off and see if you have the magnet sensors and the gear looking part on your axles. That rear should work on your car.
