ls1 in a mustang
well i am new to the thread and sorry if this isn't in the right section but i was wondering if u could help me out.
first off my name is justin i own a 95 mustang gt with a 347 125 shot suspension etc etc but had some bad luck and wrecked it. but i am wanting to get a 87-93 notchback and want to put a ls1 in it and 6spd.
first off what has to be done for this to work?
how much would a ls1, wiring harness and 6spd tranny cost to get?
are they any kits to make this a simpler drop in process?
what about the driveshaft and some mounts?
has very many people down this swap that i may contact anyone particluarly on this forum?
what about the clutch assembly?
any and all answers would be appreciated thanks for the help justin

its been done before, makes for a badass car. I love the way those look..then you add a ls1. A complete ls1 pullout would probably run you 4-5k for everything. Prices reaslly depend on demand, check ebay, that'll give you a good idea. i don't know about a kit, but even kits that are made for coversion like this donn't really work unless your mechanically inclined. Not saying your not, just saying no matter what way you slice it, it'll be a hard job. You should check the hybird/conversion forum...they have a lot more info.

go search the hybrid threads.. theres several fox body ls1 conversions going on.. maybe already completed. From what i hear it really isnt that difficult. lighter engine than the 5.0 too.
