Default Block removed from top

If i have the intake, heads, and etc off my block can the rest of the short block be removed from the top easily or not.

With an engine hoist, yes, can be done easily.

and there's really no need to remove the heads and intake first.

Just get a happy hooker and she'll do it all. Dont' even have to remove the hood!

i pulled the lt1 out of my old 93 t/a through the top with the happy hooker it was easy only took about 4hr to do strat to finish didnt even take the manifolds off like they said just pulled the plastic piece off the cowl and bent the lip up just little and bent it backdown when i put the motor back in came straight out like it would in anyother car
