Default AIR BAG light on after header install

I had to remove the steering shaft for my header install the other day. After about 10 minutes of driving it, the steering wheel made a little click and the AIR BAG light came on and has stayed on since. How can I fix this?

That click was the clockspring for the airbag in the column going Dont go just changing parts because it is about 180.00. Get it scanned and if it has a driverside inflator circuit open, short to ground, or power the clockspring is dead.

Thanks. I just dont get what I did wrong. This was the second time I have taken off the steering shaft from my car. I removed and reinstalled it the same way as I did the first time but it didnt give me any trouble then. Do I have to go to the dealer to get it scanned?
