Default Bald or new M/T Street radials????

I have a brand new set of M/T Radials(new never run at all)or a bald set(barely see the lines in the tread).Which set should I run at the track tonight.
I heard brand new M/T weren't as good as used?

Most of the radial racers here swear by doing a good burnout on them and then letting them set for a day. Is supposed to let let the solvents out of the tire.

Just finish up the one set and start using the new ones. Or like he said, get a run in on the new ones then go back to the old ones til theyre done

Sounds good.I just don't want to waste a trip to the track. If the bald ones will hook I would rather run those.I usally cut mid to low 1.4s on the M/Ts.

Did my best 60fot widh a set of MT ET-streets that the thread (in center section) had been gone for 3 events.
They had around 50 SC (9-10sec) and 50 N/A (12-13sec) runs.

In my experiences the M/T radials don't hook as good when they are bald. We used to run the BFG's until you could see the cords and they would work great but the M/T radials seem to be a little different.
