what cam?
Ok so right now I have headers, ory, catback, LS6 intake, lid, and a stock ported tb on my 98 SS. I have Nitto drag radials, trans cooler, and an SS3600 stall ready to go in and now its time to start collecting parts for a cam install. This car is my DD in good weather and will be sprayed with probably a 100-150 dry shot. I was thinking of going with a G5X1 but now im thinking custom grind may be better. Im looking for something like a 228 232 that will be used with stock heads this year and then some milled afr 205's will go on over next winter. Anyone have any suggestions and where i can order from preferably a whole kit with some 918's and hardend push rods?

Do you see all the sponsors to the right? Pick one.
Just playn'.
You say daily driver, like in a populated city, where stop and go is as common as taking a dump? Or are you more country? What are your goals? Drag? laguna seca?
Alot plays a roll in what cam you need/want.

SDPC, TSP, or Thunder would be my recomendations. I would only use their website to get a phone number for the business though. You are going to want to talk to someone so they can help you match what you want/need.
FWIW: You can get a cam/retainers/pushrods in the for sale section. Those are some of the few parts that are able to be reused unless damaged thanks to the hydraulic cam setup in our cars!

We have quite a few cams to choose from, depending on what you're looking for. If you want a good DD cam that still performs at the track, and works with 918s, then I would look into our Tv2. It would also match up well with your converter. We have kits available with everything you will need. Let us know if you have any questions!

If the T2 is a little bigger than what your looking for, then I would look into our 228R camshaft. It has great street manners and would still perform well at the track. We can get a custom grind for you in the package for not additional charge. Just let me know what your interested in.
