Default lt1 question

im getting ready to buy a 95 lt1 camaro automatic and there is this ticking noise goi on with the motor itz not reall loud but u can defently hear it, i was just wondering if that was a stuck lifter or what, my brother and law had a 02 ls1 camaro ss and he said his did the same thing and the dealer told him it was normal for those type of engines i just need to know if itz somthing real bad thankz

I'm going to go out on a whim here and suggest that it's an exhaust leak. More often than not, that's what ticks are.

yea next time your at the dealership take a look under the hood and inspect the manifold bolts, I had a tick and it was because some of the exaust bolts broke off making a small gap between the manifold and engine block.

the guy who had it took aff the cat converter could that be the problem i dont think he had the whole exhaust redone
