Default Oil pan gasket change.

This baby has been leaking for ever and a day, slowly....so I thought I would change the gasket out. Good thing I cracked open the book on this on and read before ratcheting. Looks like a damn involved process. My mechanic told me 180 w/o parts to do it. I bet I can get him down to 150. That price sound right to you all? However I am a dumbass and have the gasket already and next weekend could be a good time for this project. 3800 s2 eng.

That's a damn good price, the dealership qouted me at $550.00 so I said screw it and left it alone. Mine just gets a little damp around the front so it's not a big deal but I would definately spend $180.00 to get that done, it looks like a bastard of a project.

Yea this guy is great, he is really into performance cars and is a camero freak himself. He is just getting started in his own shop so he needs buisness bad ATM. He did head gaskets for 300 w/o parts. Dealership quoted me 800. I fear the day his buisness takes off.
