Default 243 casting on 3 different OEM bores ??

The 243 casting is being used on 3 different OEM bores.
5.3 5.7 6.0

With the chamber volume, chamber shape , & valve size
being the same on all three,
did GM just do this because of cost, or does it really matter at all ??

243 heads were first used on the 5.7 LS6 engine for the Corvette platform. They trickled down from there.

Probably because in cast form they are the best flowing with such a smaller chamber.
6.0's flow as well but are 72cc.
