Default Car idles funny with radio on...need help!!!

ok here is my problem....When I turn my radio on (aftermarket) my volt meter will bounce up and down from 11volts and up to 14, the lights dim Interior and exterior) , and if the heater is on it will bounce also. Also I have a whining sound coming either from the alternator and/or belt. I will be changing the belt this weekend, hopefully that helps. Is it possible that the belt could be slipping not allowing full power I really need to figure this out, thanks guys.

I'd disconnect the radio (fuse) first and see what happens.

well with the fuse out, everything works fine. it just seems to do it with the radio on, like its drawing to much power. I should mention that I do have a aftermarket 4 channel amp, and now I have no sound coming out my speakers?? Everything was professionally installed so no hack jobs. Plus it has worked flawlessly for over a year. I dunno Im lost, cuz sometimes sitting at a red light even with the radio off my volts drop down alot, and lights dim.

Since you have an aftermarket system I'd post/ask in the Stereo/Electronics section and link to this thread.
