weird noise ..need help trying to figureout what it is...

whinning noise ....fuel pump or is my rear going out?? it started doind it yesterday , its highpitch whinning noise that seems to becomiong from the back of the car i can. i can only hear itwhen i park the car (car on)and get out. I was thinking it was my rear but i had a guy tell me it could also be my fuel pump.... any one had a similar issue????? its also most noticeble from the drivers side.

same noise on my wife's V6 Camaro. It started a year ago and got louder and louder.... pump still works fine but I think it's only a question of time, it's gonna die....
