Default Check gages light

Lately I have had the check gages light pop on briefly. Its always at idle, typically when I am parking. All gages show normal readings and all appear to be reading correctly. Not getting any idiot lights either. Whats the deal?

If it's blinking, then it is detecting a misfire.
Have it scanned to see if any info was stored.

if the SES light blinks, that is a misfire.

yeah, mine has only come on when fuel was low. Maybe since you are at idle and parking it could be low oil pressure or something similar.

You may be lugging it down?? but i used to do that all the time trying to get into a parking spot that was slightly uphill and never had a light come on.

My check gauges light came on when my serpentine belt blew apart on the highway the other day.

I know what the light is for. I check my gauges religiously and everytime the light comes on, I immediately look down. Temp gauge never goes above 185, oil pressure at idle is 40 psi. I had a half a tank and my volts were at 14. I haven't driven the car since friday, I plan on getting it out tonight.
