Default 6.0L head questions

Hey all,

In the relatively near future I'll get looking to get a set of 6.0L heads to lower my CR for a Procharger. I do have some really, really newbie-ish questions about them, though.

The name "6.0L heads" that I always hear makes me wonder what engine they're for. LS6? LQ9? Also, are they aluminum or iron? I never seem to find this info no matter where I look, and I'm assuming it's because it's just assumed that everyone is smarter than I apparently am.

TIA for any info.

Try to wrap all these questions into one thread next time though. You won't find Iron heads on anything anymore.

LQ4 and LQ9 are 72 cc alum heads (iron blocks, alum heads)
LS2 6.0 has 243 (Old LS6 casting) (Alum block, Alum heads)

Yes they do, the 243 castings are actually smaller cc wise than the 241 ls1 castings. I just went through all of this for myself. PM me if you need anything else
