Default What do you guys make of this?

See the pics. I'm installing a set of three point sub frame connectors from UMI and the fully rod ended torque arm and tunnel brace with front safety loop from Spohn. The SFC's line up great with the four tunnel brace holes in the body but the tunnel brace does not. The right side bolt pad is twisted and won't line up with or without the SFC in place. I'm being told that the brace was welded correctly and that my body mounting points are off. If they were to send me another one, it'll be the same. To use this tunnel brace, I'll have to drill/notch and hack it up. I specifically ordered this setup because it's the only one with the rod end joints through and through.

Anybody else run into this?

Before I start drilling, any ideas?

Everything else has worked out well, my transmission shop will have my transmission ready tomorrow.
Quit staring at my stained Kooks pipe, I'll get out some scotchbrite later

Compared to the other users T/A, yours does look like an imperfect piece. However, it doesn't look bad enough to send it back. I believe I would just oblong the hole.

I'd take a picture of it and send it to them. Then I would send it back.

I've got everything back together. The cross arm was correctly welded in a jig according to it's maker. I had to hack one hole up pretty good to get the bolt in. The UMI SFC fit correctly without any misalignment of the body bolt holes. I'm disappointed that this thing didn't fit correctly and I hate to modify these parts but i was needed to get the job done. This is going to influence my choices for future purchases.
