Default Smoothed Rear Camaro Bumper

Has anyone ever had the rear license plate area smoothed out?
I want to do this to my car but I wonder how hard it would be.
I know many of you will ask about where the license plate will be mounted...I'll fab up some kind of bracket for it to bolt under the rear bumper.
This way I'll be able to remove it for any car shows.

Here is one for the TA guys...Silver02TA's car

did you read.....

I gurantee you almost no one has done it. That would be extremely to difficult because of the large space needed to cover up. I say it's not worth it and may look kinda goofy

I think that the space that needs to be covered up could be replaced with sections cut out of an old camaro bumper from a junkyard. Then these pieces could be worked into the space until it is seamless. My friend works a body shop and he could hook me up with that stuff they use to fix urethane bumpers so I won't have to worry about it cracking.

It might look a little goofy with the liscense plate bracket on there, but that's why I would make it removable. It would look nice at a car show or just parked at a hang out or at the track.

This is just an idea.

what if you made an insert like the TA's have for the front? it makes a big difference for them, and i believe it would have the same affect on the back

yea that would probably be the easiest. Or just get another bumper like you mentioned and cut it and then mold some perpendicular pieces onto that

Could get this if you end up completely smoothing it (kinda pricey though)

But bringing that TA idea to the rear sounds good too.

^ That's a good idea for the smoothed bumper option.

or you could have the license plate where it is now and just bolt on that "cover" thing (like the TAs have in front) to cover the license plate at shows, etc. instead of taking the time and spending the money to make a bracket/motorized bracket the holds the license plate

im about 98% positive that GM made a rear filler pannel for the TA, i know ive seen one a few years back, i think it was on ebay, but i think it only came on canidian or exported cars as an option. its been a while since i saw it so i doubt i would have any luck finding it again
