Default in order to use ac with ls1 in wrangler, cut frame?

i saw somewhere that this guy said if you want ac in your jeep and your installing an ls1, you will need to cut the frame... ?

why would you need to cut the frame, is it just because he had a cj not a wrangler? or do you need to cut the frame on a wrangler

thanks

On the CJ, there is a pad that extends from the frame that has a rubber stop on it. It appears to contact a pad on the differential under suspension compression. The pad projection on the frame would need to be cut off to make room for the AC compressor. I'm thinking about doing it and using the ac compressor for on-board air.

yes. the frame would need to be notched and reinforced. the ac unit sits really low on the passenger side. and at that point, the TJ frame sticks out too far. too bad the ac compressor couldn't be relocated to the top of the engine.
