Default bov/sts question

running 6 to 8 psi. do u need a bov on the cold side just before the throttle body on a sts system..this is not to race but for my pickup to pull my car to the track.....

manual = yes

BOVs are for manuals only. You did not say which trans you had.

My $0.02. If it was my truck, I'd add one. A BOV is mandatory for a manual....you can go without one on an auto. However, it will help relieve backpressure on the turbo between shifts and during decels....same as a manual car.

thats basically why i said not really....if it was my car and it was an auto i would do it

Go with a BOV. You will still have backflow through the turbo with an auto when the throttle shuts. Spend the extra $ and save your turbo.
