i have mac midlengths and tru-duals all the way out the back

i was wondering how much the xr-1's would take the bite of a catless mufflerless exhaust down

thanks

xr1's should eliminate most of the rasp while keeping the overall loudness and making it a bit deeper sounding.

The Borla XR1s will take about 80 to 90% of the rasp out. The are DEEP sounding on an LS1. They will quiet it down some, but it will still be loud. The trade off for almost no rasp, and one of the deepest sounding mufflers you can get is definitely worth it.

We have them in stock for $110 + shipping for #40085

the XR-1's are good, I put one on a Loudmouth system and It took the rasp out and it left me with a good deep sound. Quiet when driving easy, but loud when I want it to be. My car has LT's with ORY also H/C

I just installed longtubes with ory on my 2000 Camaro SS. I have a chambered muffler (from classicchambered.com) placed on the ipipe with an electric cutout after it. I think its a little bit too loud for my taste. So compared to the chambered muffler to the borla xr-1, how much quieter do you think I'll get if I get a xr-1?

I had the same mufflers on my without cats and they were not much quieter than open headers. The XR1s will be a lot tamer at idle and cruise. At WOT, they will be loud, but not quite as loud as the chambereds.

Wow man thanks bro, how do they compare to dynomax? I know the price difference are by a lot. But if not louder how much quieter is it from the xr1?

The dynomax bullets hardly do anything for noise control. They will make the exhaust a little bit deeper, and thats about it. I usually use the Dynomax bullets for rasp control on catbacks with an ORY.
