Procharger on stock LS1 Z28
How reliable is the D1SC procharger on a stock Z28 at ~7psi with the proper fueling upgrades? This will be a daily driver (80 mile round trip to work) car. How much will this affect the gas mileage? Car currently has 38k miles.
I had EPP install my subframe connectors and they did a good job, so I would probably go back to them for the tune on this. Would I need to lower the compression ratio of the engine to make this setup reliable or would a good tune make it reliable enough?
One more question... would the stock rear end hold up on street tires with occasional visits to the track (3 times per season)?
Thanks,
Jim

The procharger package is extremely reliable in terms of daily driving. Its calm until that right foot takes action . Gas mileage should remain the same, some have actually said it went up a few mpg.
As far as compression ratio, stock compression is fine, just with lower boost. With lower boost you should be around 500rwhp. At that point, its time to upgrade the drive line(clutch and rear) if you haven't.
The stock rear ends strength is dependent on how hard it gets driven, dead hooking at the track, and if your a 6 speed. The manual transmission guys have it a little harder on the stock 10bolt's.
Any other questions, just let me know!

We just got done installing one of Bob's procharger kits and this is what happened: Car mods:00 SS Stock bottom end, FAST 90/90, 42# inj, D1SC 9#, AFR 205, 224/228 581/591 114+1, 6spd. This car put down 624hp and 529tq on our Dynojet. That is only at 6000rpms but I ran out of injectors, we need to put 60# injectors in and go for another run.
