Default Quick Tips on installing AN Fittings And Lines?

I have about 20 fittings and lines ready to go on my car.

Everything is all measured out, and ive mocked everything up.

Seems easy enough to put em on, but if seen some shitty installs...

Anyway,

I picked up the Aeromotive Vice adapter so that the fittings dont get destroyed, ive also got some WD-40.

Lines are -10 and -8

Any techniques that you have doing this? Tips? Tricks?

Tony.

For cutting the line, i would reccomend a dremel with a cut off wheel. If you can spar the extra expense i would get the summit AN cutting tool. The best way to do a perfect fit is a perfect cut. It is allways going to be harder when there is frays on the line.

I would use somewhat of a motor oil on the AN threads to help it go on.

Also, when your done making the section, go ahead and spray a brake cleaner into the line and blow it out with a air gun to rid of anything that might be in the line, you dont want that clogging an injector.

I got ALL of my -8 lines and fittings together, but im having the WORST time getting -10 to go together.

Its like the fittings are to small for the line, becasue the line just keeps freying.

Wrap the braided line with tape where you're cutting it. After the cut, the tape will keep each new end from fraying. Leave the tape on until you've installed the line on the fitting.

A hacksaw will work for cutting it also, using the tape method.

dont wrap the line alot with tape. i use electrical tape and only wrap it with only one layer so it will go onto the fitting easy.
