Default Aluminum intake worth anything?

I've got an '04 Vette. This winter I'm putting on some stage 1 ported LS6 heads with sodium valves, LPE GT2 cam and longtubes. The car came with an LS6 intake. Would putting a Lingenfelter aluminum intake buy me anything? The car will not see N2O. I'm also concerned if the aluminum intake might heat soak more than the factory composite one.
Thanks

Yep, that is correct.

So I should leave well enough alone? Might you have any theoretical situations for the pros and cons?
Thanks again, Tom

Stay with the LS6 intake manifold. It won't be choking the heads too much, and with such a small cam you wouldn't see a whole lot gained from going with a FAST 90.

Thanks for the replies. I should have also posted that this would be an even money swap, but it seems that wouldn't have made a difference.

+1 on staying with the ls6. An aluminum intake manifold suffers from heatsoak. It has been discussed many times on this site and others. I'm sure if you search for it you can find all the theories you want...
