Default Slp Lm2

How will the LM2 compare to my Flowmaster catback? I BELIEVE it's the 40 series (the car already had it when i bought it). Will I gain some more HP and how will it change the sound? Also, how was the install.? Any welding or just simple bolt on? Sorry so many ?'s. Thanks

You have the 80 series, it's the standard "I put a flowmaster on it" exhaust. 40's have inlet on one side, and either 1 or 2 outlets on the other side.

It will be louder and you'll pick up some HP, should be a simple bolt-on after removing the flowmaster and stock mid-pipe (I-pipe). You may need to cut the old over-the-axle section out though.

Power gains will be nothing to write home about from stock to LM2, but might be felt from Flowmaster to LM2 considering the Flowmaster is more restrictive than stock. I personally love the sound of a Flowmaster 80, and would keep it along with adding a 3" electric cutout if you want to be loud and make a little more power.

that is the only down side (doesnt sound bad, just annoying)... but i got use to it after a few long trips.. i dont have tips on mine so it comes out underneath the car which makes it a little louder...

but supprisingly after LT's and ORY the highway driving noice didnt really increase (but in town sure did)

ohh and BLK02TA shouldnt u be under 2k at 80mph since ur M6..
