Default Help, Power Loss

Okay, 98 SS and when i get on it now, started recent, it just runs up rough to about 2300 2500 rpm,s then shuts down like i cut the key off, if i let off the gas it takes a split second then kicks back in if i don't give it any throttle, now rogh idle, not too hard, just sounds like i have a mild cam....ANy ideas? Not throwing any unfamiliar codes, jsut usual o2 and egr

have you changed your fuel filter recently? rent a Fuel pressure tester from autozone and stick her on there and rev it a little and see how the pressure responds. if its low, change your fuel filter, and if its still low, check voltage to your fuel pump. if that isnt the problem, replace fuel pump and you should be fine.

it could also be a bad ground. i had that problem once with the ground behind the driver side head.

a single coil wouldnt affect it that much, a whole bank would... but that'd show up as a misfire on a scanner.

also, while it's idling, tap the maf sensor, if the car stumbles, the maf is bad.
