Default ratchet shifter?

I tried searching but it didnt work. Are there any racthet shifters for the 4l60e trans am? I know I'd need a manual valve body, but is there anyway to retro fit one into the car? Does anyone have any pics?

There was a guy on here that worked for B&M (he quit) and he said that they, B&M, were making a ratchet shifter for our cars to fit in the console. Havent heard from anybody about it or if its still in the works. Love to have one before Christmas!

I just called b and m to get to the bottom of it. They said they dont have one but you can tertro fit one from a 700 trans, I automatically assumed he meant 700-r4, he said all you need to do is hook up the electronics, what does that mean? Is this actually possible. He said if everything was aligned I wouldnt burn up my trans or anything, is this true?

Did they say when one would be available? I am assuming that Chistmas is out of the question so maybe early next year I would hope!
