Default Ultra Z pics anyone

I have seen some on here who have opted for the LS1 lid conversion and I like them. However I havent seen anyone with the Ultra Z conversion. Anyone have any under hood pics. I am seriously considering going this route.

I have ultra Z hood, but after buying the cold air kit why blow $300 for no real HP gain. I got the hood afterwards.

Could probably do the LS1 lid switch with the Ultra-Z hood though, right?

I am one of the few that have the Conversion. It might fit with that Hood, the front of it is where you will have to worry about clearance issues.
These are a couple of pics. I won a LS1 Lid off of EBAY the other day, so that will be going on when I get it. It will look alot better, then I will get some pics.

Well one thing I know for sure is that 90 degree bends kill air flow. This is one of the big downfalls with the LT1. So if there is an improvement in HP with the LS1 conversion surely there will be one with the Complete Ultra Z set up. I already have the hood, Im waiting for the airbox and filter now. As soon as I have it all together I'll post some pics.

Nice looking set up you got there merv. Im sure that SLP lid will make an improvment in power and looks.

I would worry about porting the heads and intake before trying to squeeze 2 more hp out with and LS1 intake conversion..

Thanks. It looks unique sticking up out of the hood. I will post pics of it when I get it on. It will look alot better, no doubt there. I guess it's good for 10hp, that's what my friends stock LS1 car got.

I have the Ultra-Z hood but I went with a different intake set up. Way better if you ask me.

Well I am just going off of what I had heard about the Cold air VS ultra z hoods ram air box.

If there are great gains, what kind of hp gains are we talking?

I am getting a Lid, and that is good for 10hp over stock LS1 setup. It helped already, I noticed a gain at the track, but the Engine went before I could really see it.
