Converter flush?
Hey everyone, I just had my 4L60E rebuilt after shreding my sprag and I was told there were small traces of metal in my vigilante stall but I should be ok if I just have the transmission flushed after about a week of driving.
I'm just worried I might blow the transmission again or damage the new pump that was put in it with metal floating around no matter how small it is, but I don't have the time or money right now to have the stall shipped off to be refurbished.
Does anyone know of a cheap/easy way to have it flushed before it is reinstalled to my car???
Or will I be safe just having the transmission flushed down the road as advised???
I trust what I was told, but just curious if anyone has had any experiences like this for peace of mind.
Thanks for any feedback.

I wouldn't install the converter unless it has been gone through. I would send out the converter to a local trans shop who can properly clean it. I send mine to Coan http://www.coanracing.com/ every year in which they cut open the converter and properly clean and check it out. Coan will also call you if anything needs to be replaced. I think it costs about $150 to go through the converter. Also at that time you could have them correct the stall to match your torque/power band. Hope I could help as all of these type of things can get expensive. Worth it though since you just had the trans gone through
