Car locked me out
Any easy way to get into my car? The hood is still open. I was changing my battery hold down, and when I hooked the battery back up, the car locked its self. Only set are in the car. Thanks guys.

Actually as funny as it sounds grab a hanger and about 3 feet of string. Bend the hanger to where you can touch the unlock lever, bend the end at where the hanger hits the lever into an L shape. Tie a string at that end and fish the hanger and string between the glass and roof (or t-top). When you get the end of the hanger to the lever pull the string towards the front of the car and you'll unlock the car manually. It might take a few times but I've done that to my car a few times. It works just takes a little patients.

Well I know on my 3rd gen, I pulled the window enough to use a tree branch that was available.
The best thing to sneak in there is a thin rod.
If you are near a store with a roll-down gate, ask them if they have the bar that they use to pull it down. It's pretty universal in storefronts and works like a charm.

Wierd how it locks when you mess with the battery. I worked on my sister in law's toyota minivan's battery, all it did was honk like crazy when I hooked up the battery. Scared the crud out of me.

either use a hanger and run it in through the seal by the window or just go get a new key for like 6 bucks. take em your VIN and GM can cut ya a new one (keep in mind you just need the door key)

I take it thats when you turned completely green your shirt exploded in to shreds and pryed the window open a good 3 inches.
