Fueling & Injection - Driving w/ Stock Injectors on 60# Injector Tune?

I am going back to stock in the next couple of weeks, including reinstalling the stock injectors on the stock LS1 block. There are 60# injectors in the car right now with the 427, and the car has a base tune for the injectors. My question is, can I reinstall the stock injectors(26#) and drive to the tune shop to get a stock tune? The drive to the shop is 20 miles all freeway. How dangerous is this? Or would the car not even run? I don't feel like having to put the injectors in at the shop. All opinions are welcome, thanks!

Can I buy your motor before you attempt to drive the car with the stock injectors with the 60lb tune?

Yes its dangerous, the computer will still think you have 60lb injectors meaning it will try to keep the pulse width to a minimum to keep the fuel flow very low, but your 26lbers don't flow worth a crap at low pulse widths meaning you'll be very lean at idle, part throttle & wot, meaning there is a good chance you could cause some very bad damage even on that short 20 mile run.

What about going from stock injectors to 60lb injectors? I wanted to change my stock injectors to 60lb before I went to teh shop? If not would it be that hard to change them in the parking lot?

its the same deal only the opposite...your going to an injector that literally doubles the flow at the same psi...double the fuel but not the air & you'd be looking at a super RICH condition which can have just as bad an affect on things, washed cylinder walls, etc.
