Default 02 firebird rims on a 1985 ta?

I posted this in the firebird section but maybe it would be better here. I have a 2002 formula and i want to take my stock 16" rims and tires off it and put them on a 1985 trans am, Will these rims fit? Im not sure if the bolts are spaced differently from these two years or not. I need to drive it 30 miles to my house and need some rims and tires that will work. thanks

You need 2" adapters for those wheels to fit on that '85. Stock 3rd gen wheels have something like a 0 mm offset, whereas 4th gens. have something like a 50 mm offset.

A company called Vettebrakes made the spacers back in the day to get the wheels to fit right, how ever this was atleast 7 years ago so not sure if they still do or dont.
