Default Stock toggle switches

Has anyone ever used OEM switches, like the fog light or ASR switches for other things? I was thinking about how cool it would look to have fan switches, cutouts, nitrous, and all kinds of crap hooked up to gm switches. Especially if you could paint a little fan on the switch, or a picture of a nitrous bottle. Just a thought.

Does the camaro badge on the right of all the factory switches come off? If so you could mount two more there.

You can also seeing that you have a Z, use the switch panel for a T/A that holds the TCS switch. You will lose your little pocket on the console in front of the shifter but i will still look stock. Also If you were worried about it having the Pontiac Arrow on it, You could buy the panel for Rag tops T/A with TCS option for the Switch panel has two slots for switches to be used with no pontiac arrow on it. Just giving you Ideas

Well that little pocket is useless to me anyway...i was honestly thinking about cramming a square wideband in there, but maybe i'll have to look up this switch panel you speak of.
Thanks!

ya.. the camaro badge comes off.. i moved it to the center so i could turn of the trac. control while my indash monitor was out... plus it makes things look more symmetrical... if u removed the camaro badge you would free up 2 more spots for switches...

ps i hate the stupid little pocket infront of the shifter.. it is useless and nearly impossible to clean

I have:

the factory foglight switch for the factory fog lights...

another foglight switch for my aftermarket foglights...

an ASR switch (with the ASR removed) I'm using it for a Nitrous Purge...

and another ASR switch (with the ASR removed) that I'm using for the garage door opener...

Those are all above the radio and I've replaced their stock bulbs with blue LEDS...

I also have a convertible switch (w/ plate) that I am using as a Nitrous Bottle Opener (I removed the letters TOP and also mounted my Cobalt Nitrous Pressure Gauge next to it on the plate)...

My arming switch is the only non-factory switch... I went Gone in 60 Seconds style with it:

EDIT: The switch on my console near the shifter USED to be there for an exhaust cut out but is gone now and the red momentary button on the shaft of the gear selector was the temporary activation switch for my nitrous untill I got a WOT switch...

How hard was it to mount the buttons over the radio? That looks incredible!

It's a convertible switch plate from a Camaro that I cut a 2 1/16" hole in (with a drill and a hole saw bit)... I got the convertible switch as well and use it for my bottle opener.
