what are the benifits of running an OBD1 PCM?

Default what are the benifits of running an OBD1 PCM?

im just curious. and yes i did search, but came up with nothing on the benifits or any possible downsides.

on an LS1 i don't see ANY benefits. LT1's I've heard of people going obd1 usually because its cheaper.

TC only supports ( currently since Jet purchased the obd2 stuff) 94-95 lt1 box's. the 96-97 PCMs are no longer supported by TC and you have to get the software from either JET or LT1 edit AKA carputting. I personally think the 96-97 logic is better and has a few refinements in terms of AFR control on the big camshaft cars. Opinions vary widely but to each his own. Both box's are capable and usable to the extremes.
