Possible trade T400/W brake & converter for T56
I am just kicking tires right now and doing some research on manual trans at the moment.
I have a Hipster T400 with a trans brake. Reverse manual. This is the same trans the 1400 hp guys ran in super street 10 wide classes before they swapped to glides. The speedo is setup for a 3.42 gear with 26" tires right now, easily changable.
It also has a 10" Niel Chance bolt together torque converter that stalls about 2500 rpm. It can easily come apart on the work bench to swap plates if a different stall in wanted.
This is a bullet proof setup.
What I am wondering is if anyone with a nice T56 setup has ever thought about a possible trade for something like this?

I've been throwing the idea around of going to a T350 or a T400 lately, but I'm about to get deployed for 4 months to the middle east, so anything would have to wait until I got back anyway. Plus, your a ways away from me...I'm in North Carolina. I'd be a long shot, but who knows. I've got a T56 with 60k on it, and a new Spec stage 3 clutch (good for 700 ft/lbs of torque) with Spec billet steel flywheel. The clutch was broken in for 600 miles then taken to the track. There are about 10-15 5500 rpm launches on it and it works great. Like I said, I'd be a long shot with the distance and all. We'll see.
