Any opinions on EDGE converters?
I'd love to have a Yank, but being right after my 383 build I can't afford it. Has anyone had any reliability issues with the cheaper EDGE converter? I heard the only difference is the lack of a billet cover and I'm only going to be pushing 450 HP, would I be OK with the EDGE? Searched and got a few opinions but wanted a few more before I dropped the cash for one.

Why not just post in the previous thread that's not even more than a couple weeks old? Many many of us B-body guys have used them in success. I'd put them on par if not better than something along the performabuilt line. Based on the stuff I've seen about Fuddle, definately better than one of those units :0

Edge builds a moderately high quality converter. They do a good job, and a lot of people are very happy with their converters. Their main line is on par with our Performance Series Converters, but without the extra stator modification we take the time to do. On par with the Sonnax kit converters from Performabuilt.
They don't build a converter near the quality of our HighPerformance/Street series. Considering that you are running a stroker, the extra low end power will likely outmatch our Performance Series, as well as the Edge/TCI/Performabuilt. Considering that it is a setup that makes big torque and low end power, you will need to consider a converter at least close to our HP/Street Series.
If you are interested, we are having a sale on the Performance Series converters for $365 (down from $450). If you decide to go with the extra security, the HP/Street is built to handle much more power with a clutch more than twice the size of stock and is also on sale from $595 to an amazing $490. Shoot me a PM if you'd like more info.

For clarification Fuddle, which main line are you refering to on the Edge units. They offer the "Mild Street Edge", "Street Edge", and the "Pro Edge"
Im not sure what units they come standard on (street edge maybe, pro-edge prolly) but last time I checked edge had a new stator that was designed to help keep top end efficiency for those guys who have higher STR rated converters.
