Default appearance question for you

how hard/easy is it to remove the black piece of plastic that is under the wipers where the hood/windshield meet? i was thinking about painting it to keep my theme going.

Remove the wipers and the plastic push tabs and it comes off easily. I wouldnt paint it though unless your going for the peeling/flaking look down the road.

with the right prep and paint it shouldnt peel.

could try the plastic type paint i believe krylon puts it out you can buy it at any major hardware store....

buddies has been painted for about 5 years now with no problems. Just make sure you do it right.

This is what I was reffering to, most people on this board will get a rattle can primer and paint.

Like bandit stated, I dont care what quality refinishing products you use if its not preped right your going to have issues down the road. There is no good quality rattle can paint or primer...IMO and if you dont know what your doing then your better off paying someone else to do it for you. A textured surface requires a lot more attention in the prep dept. along with different methods/ materials to do the job right.
