Default 4L60E tranny mount for 61 Impala

Howdy, I am looking for other companies that make a cross member tranny mount for a 61 Impala (58-64 x-frame) Street & Performance does not have theirs available yet. I'm installing a 2002 LS1 in my Impala. If this is the wrong forum, please redirect me to the correct forum

Thanks,

Deane

We have sourced different components like that for many cars through...

Keisler Engineering 865-609-8187
D&R Classic 888-226-2761
Classic Industries 800-854-1280

No sure if they have what you need, but it's a start.

I am not aware if these companies are sponsors here or not.

Hey thanks. Good start, but I checked with them and they don't carry the beast. If I don't find one I might have to build my own.

I tried these guys, but also no luck. Apparently, my 2002 is different from other years? Any other recomendations? Will a custom fabricated one work?

By all means a custom fabbed crossmember will work just fine. I would recommend finding a chassis shop near you, there has got to be someone in your area who can build exactly what you need at a reasonable cost. Chances are they have done it for that same car in the past.

Don't be the least bit concerned about installing a custom unit. They are built every day for all kinds of cars!

Default Made it!

I went ahead and crafted a fine tranny cross member. Works perfect.
